Important Native base camp destroyed by fire.

Tomah Stream has been a haven for me and many of my clients for over 20 years. There, at its mouth where it empties into Grand Falls Flowage, stood Native Maine Guide Ray Sockabasin’s base camp. Situated on a knoll overlooking the widening river, it has been a place of peace, refuge, warmth and safety. Tragically, it was recently razed by fire, leveling the camp and almost two acres of trees. It is so remote, by the time fire crews reached the site, it was too late.

We have launched a campaign to help Ray Sockabasin rebuild this important site, so that future generations of sports can experience its rare attributes. You can access this campaign here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-ray-rebuild-camp-on-tomah-stream?utm_source=messenger&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cf%20share-flow-1&fbclid=IwAR2wXx2F1LvSmH_UxT6h3AfTgd0GoC4DIWm3fpGYrMnd4Es2HPpHglO7SmU

Please give what you can to help us restore the Tomah Stream Base Camp.

Thank you!
